This snake is protects itself by mimicry. What does it imitate?

This is a Bullsnake, also known as a Gopher Snakes and Pine Snakes. When they feel threatened, they will imitate a Rattlesnake by coiling, threatening to strike, vibrating its tail against leaves or whatever is available, and making a very loud, buzzing hiss. All in all, it does a very good imitation.
