Bullock's Oriole
We have quite a few of these birds visiting our garden. They are specially adapted for avoiding a specific parasite. What is the bird, and how does it avoid the parasite?

Answer:

This is a male Bullock's Oriole. They love oranges, which is a great way to attract them to your yard. Bullock's Orioles are one of the few birds that are adapted to deal with Cowbirds adding their eggs to the nest. The orioles recognize the Cowbird eggs, and throw them out of the nest.
