Crime Science
This was a facinating video. You don't get a chance to do crime science every day... or do you? :)
"Oh no, how will we catch the criminal?"
"Quick! I need a water balloon, a candle and a paintbrush!"

Excellent! Congratulations on getting first place, and I am delighted that you love science!
Paintbrushes and Fingerprints
The type of brush you use to put the carbon on the fingerprints seems to make a difference. When we brushed the fingerprints with a coarse brush, all we saw on the prints were brushstrokes, not fingerprint grooves and ridges. A softer brush with a light touch helped. We enjoyed this experiment!
