hey, that's cool!!! You reminded me of something me and my dad would do. We'd fill a glass with water and get our fingers all wet, then we'd rub our fingers hard on the rim of the glass and it made a cool sound!!! Maybe you could try it out?
RE: What do I do?
First, don't panic! There are tons of science projects that are quick and easy. Check out my Science Fair page at http://thehappyscientist.com/category/science-fair, but don't stop there. Your local library will have books filled with science fair projects that are all laid out and ready to roll. If you are not a big fan of science, find one that is simple, such as The Stroop Effect ( http://thehappyscientist.com/science-video/stroop-effect on my site as a video, but a Google search will show you many other versions. Compare the results of males and females, students and adults, etc.
