Why do snakes stick out their tongues?
Excellent. Their tongues collect molecules from the air and carry them to the Jacobson's Organ in the roof of their mouth. Just as your nose identifies the molecules in the air as smells, the Jacobson's Organ identifies them, helping the snake detect potential food, predators, etc. At this point, stop and think about those molecules. If you smell fresh bread, that means that some of the molecules from the bread were floating in the air and you inhaled them. The same is true for anything you smell, which can make you uncomfortable if you think about it too much.

Good Morning Mr.Krampf,
I think snakes stick out there tongue because there trying to see if danger is near, Or because they are trying to scence food, or trying to just smell!
When is the next solar eclipes? Wered u take this picture? How long will a dog live I dont have one. But I'm just wondering!
