The mouth of this creature is named after a famous scientist. Who, and why?

Marvelous! The mouth structure of the sea urchin is called Aristotle's Lantern. Aristotle first described this complex structure that resembles the framework of a lantern. The "lantern" supports the mouth cavity and much of the digestive tract.
