This is one of my favorite flowers, because of its intricate structure. How many petals does it have?
Marvelous! This is a Passion Flower. At first glance, it seems to have ten petals, but five of them are really sepals (the leaves around the base of the flower) pretending to be petals. If you look closely, every other "petal" has a thin, green border. Those are the sepals. On the backside, the sepals are green, while the petals are purple on both sides.

I think that their are 10 petals because if you look at the ones in the center they don't even look like petals.............

Are you trying to trick us?
Are you trying to trick us? We wanted to count the larger items on the outside of the flower, but we think that is a trick. Should we be counting the smaller items toward the center?
