Commonly known as a Banana Spider, this spider is often parasitized by Argyrodes lanyuensis, a small spider that enters the Banana Spider's web and eats it. Many spiders eat their own webs, which are made up largely of protein. The kleptoparasitic spiders sneak in and gobble up the Banana spider's web, sometimes eating as much as 20% of the silk.
